Sing with Our Choir
“When we sing, we pray twice.” St Augustine
Our choir rehearses most Thursday evenings at 7:00 from September through to June. Singers of all abilities and experience levels are welcome to join.

Reading Scripture
Scripture is at the heart of Christian worship.
Readers are scheduled on a roughly six-week rotation and are reminded the week before reading. The readings are sent by email to allow time for practice.
-
Serving as a Sidesperson
“Welcome to St Thomas’ Brooklin!”
Our dedicated sidespersons play a vital role in supporting worship by greeting newcomers and returning members alike as we come together for worship. Sidespersons also help in orienting visiters, collecting the offering, and inviting the congregation forward during communion.

Coffee Hour
Everybody looks forward to coffee hour! Following worship on most Sundays, we host a sit-down coffee hour in the parish hall. This is a wonderful time of conversation and fellowship. Helping with coffee hour involves preparing beverages and food, clean up, and arranging some light food items (usually baked goods).

Property Maintenance
We are fortunate to have a modern worship facilities with flexible space for events and programming. But with this space comes the responsibility of maintaining it. Whether you are a do-it-yourself fixer, or a professional with industry experience, you’d be welcome to join our property and facilities team! The work of this team varies depending on what’s needed and is coordinated by two experienced volunteers.

Chancel Guild
The Chancel Guild (aka ‘Altar Guild’) helps set up for worship services. This group changes the colourful frontals on that altars and lecterns. They set out the bread, the wine, the linens, and other items necessary for worship. And – most helpfully! – they also clean up, including laundering the linens.
