We are delighted to invite everyone to the Celebration of New Ministry for Rev. Douglas at St. Thomas Anglican Church. Join us on Saturday, May 3rd at 11AM for a joyous occasion, with a reception to follow in the Parish Hall. Stay tuned for more details as they become available. We look forward to celebrating this special day with you!
Take-A-Bag, Fill-A-Bag Lenten Food Drive
During the Season of Lent, we are inviting you to participate in the traditional Lenten practice of almsgiving by sharing what we have with those in need through donations to our Lenten Take-A-Bag, Fill-A-Bag Food Drive. Reusable bags (donated by Freshco) are available in the gathering space, along with a calendar highlighting a different type of food item to include each week, and an accompanying scripture passage which could be used as a Lenten family devotional. Our target is to collect 75 bags of food during the 40 days of Lent. The food collected will be donated to the Deacon’s Cupboard Food Bank at All Saints’ Church in Whitby.
Item of the Week:
Week 1: Protein
Week 2: Carbs
Week 4: Diversity of Flavour
Week 5: Canned Goods
Week 6: Rice
Lenten Study Discipline 2025
This Lent, I invite us to embrace “The Way of Love”—a concept introduced by the Most Reverend Michael Curry, former Presiding Bishop (Primate) of the Episcopal Church (USA). This series calls us to adopt a Way of Life—a Rule of Life—that shapes and inspires how we live. It challenges us to reflect on our actions, attitudes, and relationships as we seek to live a Jesus-shaped life. There will be a 2PM in person study, and 7PM via Zoom running from March 12 to April 9. Both sign-up sheets are in the Gathering Space or contact the office to sign-up.

Volunteers Wanted!
As we continue to re-boot ministries, there are several volunteer opportunities for which we’re looking for parishioners to become involved:
Sides-people & greeters
Hosting coffee hour
Chancel guild (setting up for Sunday worship)
Readers & intercessors
Singing in the choir
And many others!
Please phone or email the office if you’d like to get involved in one of the above roles. If there’s another area you’d like to become involved, you can contact the office and Fr. Douglas will follow up with you.
